Archaeology
The Riviera Maya was an important place for the Mayas and they leave many vestiges of their amazing culture. At Cobá is located the highest pyramid in the Yucatan Peninsula: the Nohoch-Mul and Tulum was the only city built facing the Caribbean Sea. You will find also small communities that still preserve their customs and culture until our days. |

Watersports
Of course, the dolphin swimming programs are one of the most popular water activities at the Mexican Riviera Maya. Waters invite visitors to join scuba diving and snorkel to explore the undersea and the cenotes (natural wells). Kayak and boats in the lagoons, surf and parasailing along the shore. Fishing and regatta tournaments are held here each year.

Or the parties at Tulum to dance till dawn to the rhythm of drums, electronic or pre Hispanic sounds. |

Usually, a group of adult females form a pod along with their young, while juveniles live in a mixed pod. Many of these pods can join together forming larger groups of one hundred dolphins or more. |
